✨Priya's POV
The next morning,
I stood in front of my mirror, staring at my reflection.
First day.
New office.
New experience.
And unfortunately...
Reyansh Oberoi.
I sighed and adjusted my formal shirt.
"It's just an internship, Priya," I whispered to myself.
"Bas kaam karna hai aur project complete karna hai."
My phone buzzed.
Ritika: I'm downstairs.
Jaldi aa!
I grabbed my bag and headed downstairs.
Oberoi Enterprises ....
The moment I stepped out of the car, I looked up at the enormous glass building.
•OBEROI ENTERPRISES...
The name itself looked intimidating.
Ritika stood beside me, smiling.
"Why do you look so nervous?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.
"I'm not nervous," I replied, trying to sound confident.
She laughed.
"Priya, your face says something else."
Before I could answer, Varun appeared beside us.
"Good morning, future corporate queen!" he announced dramatically.
I rolled my eyes.
"Varun, please."
He grinned.
"Arre, first day hai. Thoda excitement toh banta hai."
Ritika looked at me.
"Don't worry. Main hoon na."
I smiled.
"Thank."
Then she pointed toward the entrance.
"Come on."
We entered the building.
Everything looked expensive, organized and extremely serious.
People walked around carrying files and laptops.
Everyone seemed busy.
I swallowed nervously.
"Okay..."
Varun leaned closer.
"Don't worry. Agar Reyansh bhai ne daanta, toh-"
Ritika immediately interrupted him.
"Varun!"
He laughed.
"Okay, okay. I'm going."
I looked at him suspiciously.
"Why would he yell at me?"
Varun shrugged.
"Because he's Reyansh Oberoi."
I frowned.
"That makes absolutely no sense."
Ritika laughed.
"You'll understand."
22nd Floor...
The elevator doors opened.
I stepped out.
The atmosphere was completely different from the rest of the building.
Quiet.
Professional.
Almost intimidating.
I approached the receptionist.
"Excuse me," I said politely.
"I'm here for the internship program."
She smiled.
"Priya Varma?"
"Yes."
"Mr. Oberoi is waiting for you.
His office is at the end of the corridor."
I nodded.
"Thank you."
I walked toward the office.
My eyes stopped at the nameplate.
REYANSH OBEROI. CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
I took a deep breath.
I knocked.
"Come in."
His voice was deep and cold.
I slowly opened the door.
And there he was.
Reyansh.
He was sitting behind his desk, dressed in a perfectly fitted black shirt.
His expression was serious.
Cold.
Unreadable.
He didn't even look at me.
"Sit."
I blinked.
No hello.
No good morning.
Just-
Sit.
I quietly sat on the chair opposite him.
He continued reading a file.
For the next few seconds, the room was completely silent.
I looked around awkwardly.
Then he finally lifted his eyes.
"Priya Varma?"
"Yes."
"College project?"
"Yes."
"Duration?"
"Three months."
He nodded once.
"Department?"
"Management and Business Operations."
He picked up another file.
"You'll be working under me."
I frowned slightly.
"Under you?"
His eyes lifted toward me.
"Yes."
His tone was so cold that I immediately straightened my posture.
"Okay."
He looked back at the file.
"Your project requires you to understand different departments of the company.
You'll coordinate with my office."
I nodded.
"Okay."
He paused.
"And you'll assist me with my schedule."
I looked at him in confusion.
"Sorry?"
He finally looked up.
"My schedule."
I blinked.
"Like... as your assistant?"
"Yes."
I stared at him.
"But I'm here for a college project."
"I know."
"Then why-"
"Because you'll learn more."
His answer was short and final.
I pressed my lips together.
This man really didn't know how to explain anything.
"Fine," I said quietly.
He raised an eyebrow.
"Fine?"
I immediately corrected myself.
"Yes, sir."
He leaned back in his chair.
"You'll report directly to me."
I nodded.
"Okay."
His expression remained cold.
"One more thing."
I waited.
"Keep your personal relationships outside this office."
I understood what he meant.
Because I was Ritika's best friend.
I nodded.
"Of course."
He looked at me for another second.
"Good."
I stood up.
"May I leave?"
He nodded.
I turned toward the door.
Just as I reached it, I heard his voice again.
"Priya."
I turned around.
"Yes?"
"Don't be late tomorrow."
I stared at him.
"I'm not late today."
His expression didn't change.
"You arrived two minutes before your scheduled time."
I blinked.
Was he serious?
I forced a small smile.
"Right."
I walked out and closed the door
behind me.
The moment I reached my desk, I let out a long breath.
I looked at the closed door behind me.
"Grumpy," I whispered.
Then I shook my head.
"Cold."
I sat down.
"And
completely impossible."
Inside the office, Reyansh looked at the documents on his desk.
For some reason, his attention wasn't on the papers anymore.
It was on the girl who had just walked out.
He frowned slightly.
"Priya Varma..."
He didn't know why.
But something told him-
She wasn't going to be an ordinary intern.
